Moon rashi
The Moon’s real geocentric longitude, shifted to the Lahiri sidereal reference. The chosen zero stays in the result instead of hiding behind a generic “Vedic” label.
No birthplace is needed for a geocentric Moon position. The time zone is needed to turn local clock time into the correct instant.

Position: Astronomy Engine’s geocentric ecliptic Moon longitude. Reference shift: 23°15′ on 21 March 1956, propagated with the IAU P03 general-precession polynomial.
The result is tropical longitude minus ayanamsa, wrapped to 0–360°. Hand-transcribed Lahiri ephemeris values from 1950 through 2050 agree within one arcminute. See every fixture and the school-choice caveat →
