The twelve rashis
The same 360-degree ecliptic divided into twelve signs, measured from a sidereal zero rather than the seasonal zero used by Western astrology. Every field below comes from a named classical text.
What this phase can claim
Varahamihira’s Brihat Jataka gives the order, rulers, movable/fixed/dual classes, directions, rising manners and figures used here. That is a strong structural record; it is not twelve personality profiles.
So these pages do not tell a Mesha reader they are brave or a Kanya reader they are meticulous. Those familiar summaries need their own source-by-source corpus before Bodhastra will publish them.
The twelve
Same sky, different zero
A planet has one tropical longitude and one sidereal longitude only after a sidereal reference is chosen. Bodhastra names that choice: the calculator uses Lahiri, whose separation from the seasonal zero is about 24 degrees today. It never presents “sidereal” as a single uncontroversial setting.
