The Bengali Panjika
A Panjika brings civil dates, lunar-day calculations, nakshatras, planetary positions, observances and auspicious-time traditions together. Bengali practice is distinctive, but it does not require inventing twelve new personality symbols.
One language, more than one calendar contract
Bangladesh uses a revised national calendar whose month lengths and New Year are fixed by civil rule. West Bengal continues traditional solar-calendar calculations in regional Panjikas. A converter that only says “Bengali date” hides the most important input.
This first calculator implements Bangladesh’s 2019 national calendar and labels a separate astronomical snapshot at noon in Dhaka. Compare the two contexts →

Start with a date, then inspect the method
The calculator returns a Bengali civil date plus one timed tithi, nakshatra and Moon-rashi snapshot. It links each astronomical layer back to the wider Jyotisha method rather than passing it off as a birthday personality.
