One instant, with every assumption visible
The calculator samples 12:00 Bangladesh time in Dhaka. That is useful for exploring the quantities without claiming to reproduce a printed Panjika’s sunrise-to-sunrise event table.
Three calculations
Tithi: wrap the geocentric Moon longitude minus Sun longitude into 0–360°, then divide the circle into thirty 12° segments.
Nakshatra: subtract the named Lahiri ayanamsa from the Moon longitude, then divide the sidereal circle into twenty-seven 13⅓° sectors.
Moon rashi: use that same Lahiri longitude in twelve 30° sectors. The shared longitude is why this result links to the Vedic Rashi page.
What remains for a full daily Panjika
A full almanac needs sunrise for a named location, exact transition times, yoga, karana, observance rules and a selected regional authority. No “do this” or “avoid that” advice is inferred from the snapshot. Inspect a snapshot →
