four songs across nine years, two of them number ones, and the only recurring duet partner in either catalogue.
the short answer
four officially released songs: love me harder (2014, from my everything), off the table (2020, from positions), the save your tears remix (2021) and the die for you remix (2023). the save your tears remix went to number one and is her second most streamed song of any kind. in early 2026 the weeknd hinted at a fifth, which neither has confirmed.
| song | year | peak |
|---|---|---|
| love me harder | 2014 | 7 on the hot 100 |
| off the table | 2020 | album track, positions |
| save your tears (remix) | 2021 | 1 on the hot 100 |
| die for you (remix) | 2023 | 1 on the hot 100 |
why the two voices work
they occupy different registers and neither has to move. his sits in a light, slightly nasal upper-tenor; hers can go above it without effort and can also drop underneath it. on love me harder the two lines cross in the chorus and the crossing is the hook — which is not a thing you can arrange with two singers whose ranges overlap.
the other reason is temperamental. his records are cold and hers, at least until positions, were warm. putting her on a weeknd record adds something the record does not otherwise have, and vice versa. that is a rarer fit than it sounds.
the two remixes
both went to number one. that is two of her nine number ones coming from the same collaborator, on records she did not originate — which is a specific and unusual skill: the ability to be added to a finished song and make it bigger.
the sad one
off the table, on positions, is the only one of the four that is not designed to be enormous. it is a slow duet about whether love is still available to somebody after a loss, and given what 2018 and 2019 had been for her, it is the most exposed thing either of them has recorded together. it was never a single and it is a deep cut worth the detour.
a fifth
in february 2026 the weeknd posted something widely read as teasing another collaboration. neither has confirmed anything since, petal arrived in july with no features on it, and she has now announced a step back from public work. treat it as unconfirmed.
